On Friday, October 16th the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC will play host the the Cut & Paste Global Championship. Cut & Paste is a digital design tournament that pits artists against each other in front of a live audience. As Jeff Staple puts it "think American Idol with PowerMacs."

Over the years the event has attracted a serious crop of graphic designers and judges that include the aforementioned Mr. Staple, as well as artists like Futura.
