A popular trend among the geek crowd is a ritual known as "unboxing." When a sought after gadget hits the market bloggers clamor to be the first to release short photo essays or videos of themselves taking the product out of the box, showing in painstaking detail things like the packaging, manuals and anything else related to the product and it's packaging. It's sort of like the nerd equivalent of being the first to see a celebrity newborn coming out of the hospital...sort of.
Anyways the whole concept of unboxing can be fairly interesting, especially when it's a product you're really in to. In this case a guy who goes by the name Glyph runs a tech blog and was just given an offer to work at Apple. Apple being Apple the folder of job materials was worth it's very own unboxing ceremony.
Sure enough the photos and accompanying commentary make for an interesting read. The job offer is no different than the kitschy directions that come with an iPod. Full story here.
